Heath Heaves Mysterious Last Breath

2nd Hottest Male Dies
In Memory... Heathcliff Andrew Ledger
HEATH LEDGER
1979 -
2008

One of Hollywood's rising star, Australian-born Heath Ledger passed away in his apartment in New York the day before yesterday from apparent drug overdose, though at present, his autopsy is still inconclusive.

Heath Ledger was one of The Keongomaniac's favourite actors, fresh from the fame of Mel Gibson's The Patriot (2000). He has noted performances as the titular Casanova (2005) and the semi-historic The Four Feathers (2002). The news of his untimely death shocked Haz Wayne's World, where seven days of mourning would be observed. In the coming weeks, a re-run of movies starring Ledger such as The Patriot and Casanova would be played in honour of him, with purchase of The Brothers Grimm on the way.

His departing also paved the way for the coming-soon The Dark Knight to be a main highlight, with his interpretation of The Joker hailed by many to be named 2008's Keongomaniac Villain of the Year.

In the year 2006, Heath Ledger was placed No.2 in the infamous Haz Wayne's Hottest Males Charts, together with Hayden Christensen. He is known for his charming demeanor and deep voice, which captivates the audience in all of Haz Wayne's World till this day.

Heath Ledger receives a Oscar nomination for Best Actor in erm, Oscar-winning Brokeback Mountain.
And I feel he had gave his best in what is to be his last role as the iconic Joker in The Dark Knight.
I'm still sad he's dead. Really. Haiz.

2nd Keongomania Awards 2007: Keongomaniac Recognitions

Ladies and gentlemen, hello and welcome to the 2nd Keongomania Awards for the Year 2007! This year the Awards are divided into several categories, and the first of its release would be the Keongomaniac Recognitions (ie. the 'Of-the-Year' awards).

The Recognitions honours the past year's best within their own respective genres. Winners are bewtowed upon them the Kal-El Shield Trophy (see left picture), immortalising them in Haz Wayne's World.

2nd Keongomania Awards 2007
Keongomania Awards for Recognition and Acknowledgement of Enlightened Expressions
KEONGOMANIAC RECOGNITIONS
Category: Haz Wayne's World

PERSONS

Keongomaniac Person Of The Year

The highest honour and most credible Keongomaniac Recognition is the Keongomaniac Person of the Year. Usually awarded to politicians or historical figures, the Person of the Year is given to serious individuals who had, in their respective fields, inspire and awe. 2007's Keongomaniac Person of the Year is awarded to angkasawan Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, Malaysia's first citizen to be sent to space. The astronaut was given coverage in last year's Keongomaniac article entitled "First Malay to Outer Space".

Keongomaniac Male (Artiste) Of The Year

Justin Timberlake won hands-down (or hands-up?) in the Keongomaniac Male (Artiste) of the Year. Responsible for bringing Sexy Back, his songs in his latest album tops charts world-wide. Already argued by some to be the next King of Pop, Justin Timberlake was an easy winner to gain the title of Keongomaniac Male of the Year in Haz Wayne's World. Justin Timberlake was also in the 4th position in the 2006's Haz Wayne's Hottest Males charts, which many criticised since Taufik Batisah was at 3rd place, a decision seen as trying to place emphasis on local/Asian artiste. As such, the Male (Artiste) of the Year was not won by Hady Mirza, the first Asian Idol from Singapore.

Keongomaniac Female (Artiste) Of The Year

Beating hot favourites like Beyonce Knowles to be named the Keongomaniac Female (Artiste) of the Year is none other than the sexy and criminally hot Megan Fox from the fame of Transformers! Her breakthrough had been foreseen by The Keongomaniac from the TV comedy series Hope and Faith, thus deserving such recognition. The choice to name a rising star as the Female of the Year has raised concerns that the Awards may be biased towards young and upcoming personalities, since another Transformers breakthrough (Shia LeBouf) was indeed also considered for the Keongomaniac Male (Artiste) of the Year.
.
Keongomaniac Hero Of The Year
2007's Keongomaniac Hero of the Year is shared by Harry Potter and Superman. Transformers's Optimus Prime was considered but failed to meet the mark. Harry Potter's win is heavily attributed by the release of the last book of its series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, where he has shown sheer bravery, courage and nobility. Being the first year where the Keongomaniac Recogntions has officially taken place, the character of Superman, being The Keongomaniac's assumed self, was also designed to be named Hero of the Year together with Harry Potter. Critics argued that using the Kal-El Shield Trophy makes it legitimate for Superman to win the Keongomaniac Hero of the Year every year by 'default'.
Keongomaniac Villain Of The YearA second win for the Harry Potter series! Lord Voldermort reigns as the Keongomaniac Villain of the Year (not to be confused with Haz Wayne's Greatest Villain of All-Time, which is a permanent title). Megatron from the Transformers was originally set to be a co-winner, but was eventually removed. Again the last Harry Potter book played a big role, though Voldemort's portrayal in the entire series was also considered. Ralph Fiennes's superb interpretation of Voldemort in 2007's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie too carved the likes for the Villain of the Year.

ENTERTAINMENT: MOVIES

Keongomaniac Movie Event Of The Year

Musical-drama Dreamgirls starring Oscar-nominated Beyonce Knowles, Oscar-winning Jeniffer Hudson, Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy beats the ultimate Transformers movie to be named the Kengomaniac Movie Event of the Year. This recognition is the highest honour in the Movies sub-category. The Movie Event of the Year must be definitive of the year throughout, though the manner in which it was watched is also of consideration. The movie also embody the 'from nobody to somebody' concept, which is a favourite of The Keongomaniac.
.
Keongomaniac Fantasy Movie Of The Year The other contender for the Fantasy Movie of the Year would be the comedic Stardust, and the "best Harry Potter film so far", Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix. However after being reviewed and claimed as "the worthy successor to the Lord of the Rings" by The Keongomaniac, it leaves no doubt that The Golden Compass, based on Philip Pullman's The Northern Lights book (from His Dark Materials series) is the Keongomaniac Fantasy Movie of the Year. Since the fantasy genre is held with reverence in Haz Wayne's World, this recognition is often considered as the second-most prestigious next to the Movie Event of the Year.

Keongomaniac Comedy Of The YearThe naming of the Keongomaniac Comedy of the Year proves to be problematic because it aims to recognise good humour in a movie, even though it may not be of the comedy genre per se, thus 'Comedy of the Year' would be misleading. 2006's Night at the Museum is widely regarded to be the predecessor winner of this award. 2007's winner is shared by both Hot Fuzz and Stardust, the latter not being from the comedy genre, but more of fantasy. Hot Fuzz's British humour is a classic one of a kind, while writer Neil Gaiman's Stardust pumps new air to fantasy with its stunning humour, and of course, by itself a classic in the making.

Keongomaniac Animation Of The Year

Disney Pixar's Ratatouille beats CGI film Beowulf, whose powerful effects compromised its story-telling, which Ratatouille on the other hand excels. Though awfully cliche in its storyline, the fresh take about a rat in a French restaurant is indeed refreshing. Critics however point out that Ratatouille won because of the lack of other contenders. The thing about the Keongomaniac Recognitions is that it is based within Haz Wayne's World, meaning to say what The Keongomaniac did not watch automatically do not qualify.

Keongomaniac Romantic-Comedy Of The YearThough not a fan, The Keongomaniac grudgingly included a romantic-comedy genre in the Recognitions. 2007's Keongomaniac Romantic-Comedy of the Year goes to No Reservations, starring the ever-gorgeous Catherine Zeta-Jones, whose aging lines has begin to appear in this film. Nonetheless hot enough in her own right, this deliciously-made film has many of its merits. The Keongomaniac has imagined that the 'Romantic-Comedy of the Year' recognition may not appear in years to come should there are no worthy candidates.
.

Keongomaniac DVD Of The Year

It may have been thwarted in winning the Keongomaniac Movie Event of the Year, but the Transformers movie is not denied the Keongomaniac DVD of the Year recogniton, and rightfully so too. The DVD of the Year is also regarded as one of the more prestigious, in recognition of the position of DVDs and the use of Home Theatre system in Haz Wayne's World.

ENTERTAINMENT: MUSIC

Keongomaniac Songs Of The YearThe Keongomaniac Songs of the Year is a prolific recognition. Due to the great numbers of songs released every year, the selection for such is difficult. The Songs of the Year has to reflect and are definitive of the various parts of the year in Haz Wayne's World. 3 songs will always be chosen, representing roughly the first-quarter of the year, the middle and the last-quarter. Beyonce's Listen won (in place of Irreplaceable), together with The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani featuring Akon, and none other than Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls.

Keongomaniac Album Of The Year
Keongomaniac Album of the Year with ease came to the hands of Mr Sexy Back in Futuresex/Lovesounds. Another contender was Maroon 5's It Won't Be Soon Before Long. Futuresex/Lovesounds however won due to its many charts-topping songs. It is groundbreaking music with an album anyone could be proud of owning. Songs include Sexyback, My Love, Lonestoned, What Goes Around, Summer Love, Until the End of Time.
.
Keongomaniac Classic Album Of The Year
The Classic Album of the Year is formulated to honour past albums that was frequently played in the past year. With stunning classics like Saving All My Love For You, Greatest Love of All, One Moment in Time, I Have Nothing, I Will Always Love You, Run To You, All At Once, and Where Do Broken Hearts Go among others, the Keongomaniac Classic Album of the Year surely goes to Whitney Houston Greatest Hits.

LITERARY

Keongomaniac Book Of The Year
It is almost an obvious choice, the Keongomaniac Book of the Year goes to JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last and the best of the entire Harry Potter series, which was started 10 years ago in 1997 with is release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Tying all the untied knots, and unraveling the biggest mystery of the Harry-Voldemort legendary fight dwarfs only to the great twist of Severus Snape's true nature and allegience. The Keongomaniac intended to have a "Writer of the Year" in the Literary sub-category, but since it would almost certainly be won by the writer of the Book of the Year, it is thus deemed as redundant.

Haz Wayne's Honourable Titles
An Honourable Title (also known as the 'all-time' award) is a permanent title given by The Keongomaniac in the course of the year. In the past year of 2007, the Haz Wayne's Greatest Villain of All-Time was bestowed to Darth Vader in the Keongomaniac article, "The Emergence of Grey in a Never-ending Black-White Struggle".

Trivia and Big-Time Winners: Year of Harry Potter

Both Ratatouille and No Reservations were part of The Keongomaniac's 5-day Golden Birthday celebrations, and they won Keongomaniac Animation of the Year and Keongomaniac Romantic-Comedy of the Year respectively.

The big-time winners for 2007 include Justin Timberlake, who is named Keongomaniac Male (Artiste) of the Year and having the Keongomaniac Album of the Year and the Transformers movie, for being Keongomaniac DVD of the Year and its star Megan Fox the Keongomaniac Female (Artiste) of the Year.

However the Harry Potter series have 3 Keongomaniac Recognitons - Keongomaniac Hero of the Year, Keongomaniac Villain of the Year, and Keongomaniac Book of the Year, making it the biggest win for the year 2007. This was resulted by the release of its last book of the series in 2007, and the 5th instalment of its film in the same year franchise being the best to date. Thus 2007 could also be known as the Year of Harry Potter.
